General Laborer Job at UNADYN
Laborer is responsible for operating and maintaining the continual running and providing support to all functions within the Production phases of our operations, while also adhering to workplace safety guidelines.
Roles / Responsibilities
- Moving, securing, installing, building, loading, or unloading materials
- Assisting in the building or construction of various things within the manufacturing shop.
- Some specialized tasks may require on-the job training
- Effectively using heavy and light equipment.
- Moving items from place to place, according to direction from the site supervisor.
- Organize and prepare laser cut Sheetmetal
- Load and unload various metal from machinery
- Learn to roll, brake and form Sheetmetal
- Learn to read blueprints
- Opportunities to become brake, laser and saw operators
- Learn to assist welders
- Prepare and pack goods for shipment
- Apply product labels to machinery
- Cut and nail wood to make skids and crates
- Grind welds to prepare fabrications for paint
- Assemble products with basic hand tools
- Perform preventative and repair maintenance to equipment and facility
- Locate and pull parts from storage areas
Qualifications:
- Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds on continuous basis.
- Constant standing, stooping, bending, walking, reaching.
- Ability to operate dangerous moving equipment.
- Ability to work in a dusty, non-climate-controlled environment.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English language.
