Job Duties

• Perform work at different workstations and various departments as production needs require
• Load and unload product/materials onto a moving conveyor system
• Cut shelving to various lengths as directed and stack shelving onto pallets
• Perform minor preventative maintenance, cleaning and housekeeping of assigned area as directed
• Operate cartoning equipment and vacuum assisted lifting devices
• Perform all required tasks in the Roller Welder, Epoxy Paint line and Coater department
• Follow the available Job Instruction Breakdowns (JIBs) on the job training for all tasks
• Handle materials to and from the production line
• Perform material handling duties on a forklift or primer-mover if certified
• Utilize special handling equipment to aid in movement or positioning of materials
• Count, identify, and weigh materials as required
• Maintain specific quality standards by performing checks as required by the quality sampling procedures
• Attain acceptable production rates and pursue continuous improvement
• Use common hand tools, gauges, measuring devices, pallet jacks, and other handling equipment to perform job function
• Read, understand, and respond to instruction
• Record and maintain all production and quality documentation and computer input
• Complete basic math equations
• Identify product names, codes, labels, ID numbers and associated components
• Perform running adjustments, minor preventative maintenance on equipment, complete standard setups/changeovers on equipment (when required and approved by the department supervisor)
• Work in a team environment.
• Maintain regular attendance
• Able to work overtime based on business need

• Good safety record
• Basic written and verbal communication skills
