Responsibilities

Position Summary
:

The Grant Coordinator is responsible for the grant writing activities for Community Health at Mercy Medical Center. This position researches, develops, and writes public and private grant proposals; gathers data, tracks information, analyzes results and reports outcome measures as required by funders; and develops and maintains positive relationships with funders, staff and collaborative community partners. Works with all MMCM departments and other community partners to develop, plan and obtain funding for joint projects/programs. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee will demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • Current valid California Driver's License and current car insurance coverage
  • Personal computer skills required (knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Able to work in a culturally and socio-economic diverse environment with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Skilled in time management, planning, organizing and implementing work assignments or projects.
  • Must be capable of soliciting input from various sources and in applying this information to grant applications in a variety of content areas.
  • Must have understanding of outcomes, research design and program evaluation.
  • Must be able to set priorities and use good judgment

Preferred Qualifications
:

  • Three to five years' successful experience in grant writing and program evaluation desired
  • Master's or graduate degree with research emphasis in related field preferred.

Pay Range

$26.51 - $38.44 /hour
