Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:
- We lead by example in all Newmont’s safety and environmental processes, ensuring complete safe practices;
- We operate haul trucks and water trucks to assigned locations such as load-out bin to valley heap leach, and other haulage requirements as assigned by dispatch or requested by the mine supervisor in a safe and productive manner;
- We must be able to read, write, and possess basic math and science skills to complete daily reporting requirements;
- We must possess the ability to work unsupervised and wherever needed to assure the success of Newmont Mining.

Your training, skills, and experience checklist
- Positions available for entry-level operators - must have good work history; good safety demeanor and willingness to learn.
- Preferred 3-5 years of experience in the safe, productive operation of CAT 777, 785, and 793 haul trucks and 773 water trucks are helpful but not required;
- Capable of learning all operator's manual, safety rules, and company procedures for all equipment listed above;
- Demonstrate a complete walk-around inspection and verbally communicate mechanical problems in detail to mine maintenance.
Working conditions and location
- This role has a 12-hour shift, rotating between days and nights.
- This position is located at the Cripple Creek & Victor mine site in Colorado.

This position has multiple levels (which may range from level 1 up to level 6). The hourly rate offered for this overtime-eligible role will depend on the level, and the range of the hourly rate is $29.52- 42.87
