Location: AdventHealth 1035 RED BUD RD NE, Calhoun, 30701
The role you’ll contribute:
Performs analytical functions associated with collecting, safeguarding and maintaining health related information. Performs all processes associated with physician record completion which include assisting physicians with incomplete records, physician notification of incomplete and delinquent medical records and physician suspension procedure. Perform release of information in accordance with department policy, state and federal statutes.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Prints discharge lists and reconciles charts
- Performs rounds
- Performs Prep, QC, and Validation on rounds and discharges
- Performs Prep, QC, and Validation on ED, Surgeries and “Loose” paperwork.
- In some cases will release information.
- Answer phone, fax and wait on customers requesting records.
- Print charts
- Perform receptionist duties as needed.
- Willing to perform other duties as assigned or requested, in a flexible and positive manner.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
High School Diploma
Computer experience and basic knowledge of Excel and Word
Preferred qualifications:
- Business or HIM Course Graduate
- HIM experience.
- Previous experience with Cerner
- HIM or Business Certification
