Reporting to an experienced Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer will play a central role in leading Hospital Operational Strategy across a wide array of environments. Directly reporting to the CEO is an experienced Executive Team over Operations, Finance, Medical Operations, and Nursing, as well as Senior Leaders from Human Potential and Community Development. What’s truly exciting about this role, is that the CEO’s impact doesn’t stop with direct reports. This person will be expected to actively participate in community decision making and discourse, serving as a knowledgeable resource for the whole area.
The Hospital Chief Executive Officer will need to have an excellent understanding of Rural Health operations, preferably with past experience leading at the Executive-level in a Critical Access environment. This experience should extend from Short-Term Acute Care leadership, through Skilled Nursing Facilities, Rural Clinic Networks, and even Emergency Services leadership. This organization really does it all, and the new CEO will need the experience and ability to lead that.
Additionally, this person should have a strong grasp of the financial and budgetary aspects of actively managing multiple Inpatient department, in addition to a familiarity with the financial environment of community hospitals and healthcare in general. The trends, laws, and regulations that create our modern healthcare system will be second nature. The CEO will analyze how the hospital utilizes its resources, and have opportunities to affect tangible change in the ways throughput is addressed across the facility.
A key element of this crucial role is your ability to communicate effectively across departmental and organization boundaries. Chief Executive Officer will work closely with internal hospital partners and external stakeholders to ensure efficient operations across the continuum of care and throughout the community.
