Takami Host Job Description

Essential Functions: Identifying, attending, managing and responding to guests’ expectations in a timely and courteous manner.

Tasks include but not limited to: ƒ

  • Greeting and welcoming guests (saying hello and good night to each customer) ƒ
  • Answering phones ƒ
  • Answering guests questions ƒ
  • Making reservations ƒ
  • Seating guests in a timely manner ƒ
  • Taking and conveying messages clearly and in a timely manner ƒ
  • Creating a warm/welcome environment ƒ
  • Communicating clearly and effectively in English with guests and co-workers

Requirements:

Skills set (Knowledge & Abilities): ƒ

  • Communicating well in English on the phone (including giving appropriate directions to the restaurant) ƒ
  • Writing in English clearly and legibly ƒ
  • Answering guests questions in a polite and friendly manners ƒ
  • Being able to regularly perform the essential functions of the job (standing and moving around for up to 8+ hours per shift) ƒ
  • Seating reservations on time (no later than 10 minutes) ƒ
  • Proficient knowledge of the restaurant layout (i.e. tables, seats and station numbers)

  • Arriving on time, dressed properly, and ready to work with a positive attitude ƒ
  • Demonstrating a positive, friendly, and hospitable attitude toward guests and co-workers ƒ
  • Working well and remaining calm and composed under pressure ƒ
