In the host/hostess position, you will be responsible for three main functions: host, busser, and food runner. As a host/hostess, you are the first impression our guest sees when they walk in. You will be responsible for greeting and monitoring the flow of walk -in guests, taking names, and delivering pagers. As the busser, you help servers and bartenders by cleaning tables, clearing food, taking plates, utensils, and drinkware to the kitchen. As a food runner, you will deliver food from the kitchen to the table quickly and safely. All three areas require you to provide world class service

• Greet guests as they enter, placing them on a waiting list as necessary.
• Thank the guest and invite them to return.
• Provide guests with menus and answer any initial questions.
• Seat guests at tables or waiting areas.
• Assign guests to tables they prefer, while keeping the table rotation in mind so servers receive the right number of patrons.
• Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order.
• Be familiar with the menu and specials.
• Ensure dining and seating areas remain clean and organized.
• Clear plates, utensils, and drinkware as patrons finish their meal.
• Fill water glasses, help refill drinks as needed.
• Run food to table, assuring proper garnishment and temperature.
• Wipe down, clean, and reset tables.
• Provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.
• Other duties assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with all restaurant staff
• Ability to do high-quality work unsupervised.
• Willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification.
• Be knowledgeable of floor plan and wait System.
• Able to work in a busy environment.

Education/Experience:

• Must be at least sixteen years old.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Must be able to lift, balance and carry trays or highchairs weighing up to 25 pounds.
