A private family in the West Village, NY is seeking to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper to assist with the maintenance of two private residences between NYC and Bedford, NY. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with a “can-do” and upbeat attitude, and experience working in a formal private home setting. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Hours: 9 AM – 5 PM with the flexibility to work longer hours as needed
Salary/Rate: $30-$35 per hour based on experience
Benefits: A full benefits package available + overtime after 40 hours

A private family in the West Village, NY is seeking to hire an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper to assist with the maintenance of two private residences between NYC and Bedford, NY. The ideal candidate will be a team player, with a “can-do” and upbeat attitude, and experience working in a formal private home setting. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Full-charge housekeeping responsibilities; museum-quality cleaning of residence working alongside other household staff members
- Laundry and ironing of clothing and linens, caring for fine garments, travel packing/unpacking
- Assisting with special dinners and events
- Assist with simple cooking and meal prep
- Providing excellent service to principals and guests
- Must be comfortable working around pets
- Must be able to work with children as needed
- Handling special requests, and errands as needed
Hours: 9 AM – 5 PM with the flexibility to work longer hours as needed
Salary/Rate: $30-$35 per hour based on experience

Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of related work experience in a private residence
- Utmost sense of confidentiality and discretion
- Excellent references from current and previous employers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal (English)
- Professional, polished, and poised at all times
- Quiet, and focused personality
- Must be comfortable wearing a uniform (Khakis, polo, and cardigan)
- Hands-on with a good attitude, high energy, strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
- Valid US work authorization
- A valid Driver’s License is a huge plus
- Must follow all CDC recommendations against Covid-19
