Overview

The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will perform administrative duties related to the operations of the human resource office. The Human Resources Administrative Assistant will be a positive and personable hands-on representative of the Piazza Hospitality team whose job is to help facilitate the administration of all basic Human Resources functions to include wage and benefit administration, compliance with statutory requirements and employee relations as well as assisting the Accountant with occasional clerical duties, including Accounts Payable processing and filing, ensuring an organized, efficient and smooth running department by performing assigned duties.

Responsibilities & Duties

Human Resources:

Processes required paperwork for employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, and other related employment matters

Responsible for employee verification, unemployment, and disability claims

Assist with maintaining employee records

Support the successful processing of Piazza Hospitality’s payroll across all entities

Assist in the coordination of staffing and recruitment processes

Support employees when human resources issues arise with efficient problem-solving

Ensure compliance with all Company policies and procedures and Federal, State and Local laws and regulations which pertain to Human Resources

Assist with the execution of associate relations activities

Assist with administration of Workers Comp, 401k, and health insurance benefits

Plan new hires onboarding strategies and perform new employees’ orientation to deliver an exceptional first-day experience

Accounting:

Assist with audits of invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, and get necessary approvals for payment

File invoices and any other accounting paperwork

Perform cash tip payout for daily; Prepare tip bags; Retrieve all cash drops from back office safe; Preform daily safe count; Assist Accountant with bank deposits, as needed

Perform any other job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills:

Three or more year’s proven experience implementing human resources functions. Experience in the hospitality and restaurant industry a plus

Conscientious, detail-oriented worker who is self-motivated

Good organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks

Strong written and verbal communication skills ability to speak Spanish a plus

Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft suite of Word, Excel, and Outlook

Experience with HR and payroll software, such as Paycom or comparable software preferred

Prior accounting experience, performing accounts payable and general ledger duties a plus

Ability to maintain confidential information

Experience working with individuals across different geographies and cultures, as well as with cross-division efforts in a large company

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour
