  • Facilitates recruitment for all facility employees. Facilitates posts and advertisements, works with managers/supervisors to screen and interview candidates, conducts reference checking. Directly responsible for the administration of the facility recruitment/training process to include all EEOC and OSHA regulations, background checks and drug testing programs and onboarding.
  • Process HRIS edits including; rate Changes, direct deposits, benefit deduction data, etc. Maintains all facility employee records in accordance with legal and record retention requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws.
  • Generates facility personnel reporting from the HRIS
  • Facilitates payroll entries and processing and ensuring data accuracy for the facilities serviced.
  • Assist facility management with seasonal staffing contracts and relationship.
  • Attends job/career fairs, represents the organizations in local business community initiatives.
  • Monitors data integrity, and case management progress for disability and workers compensation leaves
  • Coordinates and manages benefit programs at the facility level.
  • Coordinates and communicates facility case management strategies, and provides recommendations to corporate services for disability and workers compensation case management.
  • Ensures cases and RTW strategies are managed within the guidelines of FMLA, ADA, and EEOC.
  • Administers all company, facility, and government policy(s) that address associate behavior, compensation, performance, development and human rights.
  • Ensures associate status changes, promotions, compensation, and other opportunities are achieved in a manner consistent with Corporate and EEOC requirements.
  • Coordinates, implements, and updates all facility training programs such as Safety, GMP, Food Safety, Security, Facility Work Rules, and DOL topics, (Harassment, ADA, Violence, etc.) Coach and develop facility supervisors and managers on development of employees and assist plant management in the development of succession plans for the facility.
  • Promote and foster programs that facilitate improvement processes, and associate well-being.
  • Provide support and counsel to facility supervision for associate interventions (associate disputes, performance and discipline, coaching, etc.)
  • Attends facility management, safety and other administrative meetings. Recommends new approaches to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the facilities served.
  • Drive employee engagement and communication efforts
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, participating in professional organizations and local community organizations.
  • Direct responsibility for supervision of HR support staff.
  • Assist site Health & Safety Coordinator with health & safety management system to support established goals and provide a safe, efficient environment for all employees.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to safety, and set a proper example at all times.
  • Enforce and implement policies to establish a culture of health and safety and employee engagement.
  • Be a Business Partner and advisor to the plant manager and the rest of the leadership team. (Mandatory)

  • Training/Coaching experience.

  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
  • Minimum of three to five years human resources experience. Food industry experience is desirable but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business or other related field
