Job Description:
Microchip Technology is looking for a dynamic HR Representative to join our California HR Team.
In our fast-paced environment, we are seeking a motivated team player that will understand the business and culture to provide strategic talent consult for impact and growth. The right candidate will be responsible for working with the leadership team and employees in various business units primarily in California and Colorado.
This position will be responsible for business partnership, staffing, employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, training and development, and compliance support to their assigned teams.
This position will be at our office in San Jose, CA.
The ideal candidate will have 0 - 3 years of experience. This position will provide a wide range of HR support to the HR Business Partners and Hiring Managers with an emphasis on recruitment.
Primary Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
  • Promote employment opportunities by actively sourcing passive candidates on LinkedIn, posting on various job boards, attending career fairs, and planning and coordinating all outreach efforts and other networking events in the community

  • Manage other contractor services and Agencies as needed

  • Assist hiring managers with writing job descriptions and creating requisitions in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and provide full life cycle recruiting support

  • Manage multiple requisitions and maintain accurate candidate records in ATS for reporting purposes

  • Facilitate new hire orientation and develop and present other employee training as needed

  • Process employee terminations and conduct exit interviews

  • Administer employee surveys and create detailed reports

  • Perform other administrative tasks and assist with various projects as needed
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 0 - 3 years of experience in Human Resources and/or recruiting

  • Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office- Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Experience with social media platforms (i.e. LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter)

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Ability to multitask and balance multiple tasks/projects

  • Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to reprioritize as needed

  • Keen attention to detail and organization

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

  • Professional and dependable

  • Must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment

Pay Range:
The expected base salary range for this position, if filled in California, is $64,480 - $117,000, dependent on specific skills and work experience. We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments. In addition to these components, our package includes health benefits that begin day one, retirement savings plans, and an industry leading ESPP program with a 2 year look back feature.
