RMC is hiring an HR Specialist to support our customer at the Washington Navy Yard, D.C. The selected applicant shall provide professional assistance to managers and employees in various personnel areas of human resources to include: job classification, employee development, performance management/awards, employee benefits, recruitment, workforce diversity, and employee relations. Tasks include:

• Advising personnel on training and career development and advising managers and supervisors on deficiencies and changes.
• Performing organizational analysis and position evaluations; developing recommendations and management strategies to incorporate new requirements and achieve mission goals.
• Supporting the execution of position management and organizational reviews, analyzing findings relative to classification issues, and providing recommendations for improvement.
• Supporting the development and continuous improvement of training programs, to include: identifying strategies and approaches for training and development; providing guidance in developing individual development plans; and monitoring the workflow in automated training systems.
• Assisting specialists within the office on other HR and administrative tasks, as required.

A Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of relevant experience required, or an Associate's degree and ten (10) years of HR related experience, is required. The selected applicant must have a strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of DoD and Navy processes, specifically related to Human Resources, is preferred.

Security Clearance: An active DoD Secret clearance is required to start. Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
