Job Description
The Integrated Acute Care (IAC) Regional Director is responsible for, but not limited to, the operational management and oversight of USACS’s IAC Programs in the assigned Region. The IAC Regional Director will have a visible presence at all program locations and will focus on establishing professional relationships with the entire IAC team, hospital and system C-Suite executives, case management, nursing, medical staff office, as well as community providers and specialty physicians.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Performance objectives are to be established in cooperation with our hospital partners wherever appropriate and in alignment with their goals.
  • Manage to these objectives. This will require working with the various main office departments as well as our hospital partners and physician teams to create operational plans, reports and dashboards to meet these objectives.
  • Manage IAC RN’s and IAC Administrative Assistants (AA) in coordination with corporate IAC.
  • Collaborate with the IAC RNs to garner data from and report data to clients. Support IAC RNs in their development and execution of clinical processes.
  • Prepare for and conduct quarterly performance reviews in collaboration with the Operations and Clinical leadership teams to be presented during monthly or quarterly business reviews and monthly or quarterly performance reviews with hospital and system leadership.
  • Meet regularly with each IAC Medical Director and IAC RN to review site performance and identify opportunities and barriers.
  • Collaborate with USACS Clinical Resource Group (CRG) in identifying and implementing areas for our hospital partners to improve their operations.
  • Identify and problem solve day-to-day site operations including matters related to payroll, credentialing, human resources, recruiting, etc. with assistance of central office departments.
  • Review site financial statements for accuracy and trends to explain financial performance. Identify and understand the impact of variances and enact plans to address negative variances.
  • Assist in development of annual budgets and have responsibility for P&L performance for programs in system.
  • Work in the pursuit of new business in the region. Coordinate individual efforts for new business with Regional VP and Business Development.
  • Work with Corporate IAC in new site implementations and IAC program enhancements.

  • Working knowledge of healthcare payment models, physician practice management, revenue cycle, payer contracting, managed care models and Accountable Care Organization structure
  • Knowledge of Hospital Medicine landscape and market forces driving the hospitalist model of care
  • Understanding of hospitalist physician recruiting, marketing and compensation issues
  • Driver’s license and appropriate insurance
  • Travel required, up to 75%
EDUCATION:
  • Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Nursing Administration, Healthcare Administration or similar field
  • Preferred: RN, MSN, MBA, MHA
Salary Range: $78,000-$130,943
