Summary: Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Observes mechanical devices in operation and determines root cause of failures and needed repairs based upon observations; dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts; and repairs or replaces defective parts.
• Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections and inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
• Mechanical diagnosis, installing flow meters, regulators, gear boxes, rigging, and conveyor repair.
• Metal fabrication and repairs.

Requirements:

• Associates degree or technical school certification preferred.
• 4+ years verifiable related experience and high level of proficiency in 2 or more above skills.
• Proficiency in welding in at least one of the following: TIG, MIG, or SMAW Oxy- Acetylene, preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial facility preferably in the food industry.
• Demonstrates mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn.
• Ability to read, write and speak English, pass a pre-employment drug test, and work extended hours and weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July - November.
