Position Purpose: Perform inspection/sorting activities to ensure quality of product prior to shipping
Description of Responsibilities:
- Perform routine daily production inspections, which may include, recording molding machine data, recording machine cycle times, collecting scrap information, advising the production supervisors of unsatisfactory quality levels, monitoring production operations, and alerting appropriate supervisors of potential quality problems
- Perform inspection activities as deemed necessary. Inspection activities may include GP-12 and Safe Launch Inspection
- Level 1-containment activities and/or self identified sorts that are deemed necessary
- Complete sort rework, sort sheets and identify material as appropriate
- Follow rework instructions as appropriate utilizing marked samples, operator instructions and or by digital pictures
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and to make decisions with respect to acceptability of production parts
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to move materials up to 50 lbs
- Ability to read and to document findings from sort activities
- Ability to discern between colors/pass a color vision test
Minimum Requirements:
- 1 year's experience in quality inspection/sorting
- Ability to pass Color Deficiency Test
