INTAKE COORDINATOR

This position minimally requires a Masters degree in a clinical area plus one (1) year post-Masters experience. Clinical license preferred

Summary of Responsibilities:

This is a direct service position involving initial and ongoing assessment of consumers. Responsibilities include conducting thorough clinical assessments resulting in appropriate recommendations for treatment. The Intake Coordinator is responsible for making the client’s first face-to-face contact with the agency a positive experience.

Examples of Job Requirements:

• Conduct thorough assessment of client’s presenting problem(s), psychosocial status and history, medical and legal problems, substance abuse problems, etc.
• Assess need for services and create clinical treatment plan to reflect client needs.
• Thorough knowledge of current DSM diagnostic criteria and ability to make a clinically sound diagnostic impression.
• Completion of accurate, timely and professional documentation as required.
• Work cooperatively with therapists and other service providers to ensure client needs will be addressed.
• Conduct assessments on clients who are being discharged from inpatient care.
• Provide crisis intervention/resolution services when needed.
• Assess and determine client status as seriously mentally ill or seriously emotionally disturbed per state guidelines.
• Make appropriate referrals for those requesting services that do not demonstrate need for treatment at MLBHC.
• Supervisor: This position will be supervised by the Program Director.
• Required Qualifications: This position minimally requires a Masters degree in a clinical area plus one (1) year post-Masters experience. Clinical license preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $43,880.00 - $60,000.00 per year
