The Design Coordinator will support the Design Team in administrative and vendor-related activities. This position is responsible for coordinating and managing the design process for a group of projects as assigned. This includes working closely with designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that design projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the Design Project Manager.

Essential Duties

  • The activities listed below are not all-inclusive; however, they are indicative of the type of activities normally performed and other duties may be assigned.
  • Support the Design team in an administrative capacity
  • Coordinating the design process from start to finish, including establishing project timelines and managing vendor communications.
  • Communicating effectively with vendors, designers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure that project goals are understood and met
  • Maintain project status reporting of multiple projects simultaneously and ensure that all deadlines are met using multiple electronic software tools
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and best practices in design and making recommendations to improve the design process
  • Participate in additional projects with other corporate team members as needed
Requirements:

Your Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite a plus
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit/SketchUp a plus
  • Strong understanding of design principles
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively
  • Familiarity with industry trends and best practices in design.

Education Required/Preferred

Four-year college degree or university program certificate preferred.
