Job Description:
Summary:
The International Sales Manager – Asia is a member of the Sales & Marketing organization and reports to the V.P. of Sales. The position is specifically responsible for expanding Dexter product sales in the Asia region by providing sales support and guidance to resellers and owners of Dexter commercial and industrial laundry products. As a key member of the International Sales team, the International Sales Manager is also responsible for providing input toward the strategic direction of the company’s international growth plans and product development initiatives.

Competencies:

  • Multi-lingual capability with fluency in Mandarin is required along with business fluency in English
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel internationally with frequent travel to Asia
  • Ability to perform professional presentations in front of an audience.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Achieve assigned total annual budget. This will consist of specific breakdown of budget responsibilities within the total budget as well as the total budget.
  • Provide sales, marketing, and after sales support to existing distributors of Dexter products to increase sales and market penetrations within that customer’s defined area of responsibility.
  • Create and/or implement marketing and promotional programs with distributor principals to maximize the sales performance of Dexter laundry equipment.
  • Assist and advise distributors in all sales, merchandising, service training, and related business management functions.
  • Identify new geographic markets for expansion of product sales and identify appropriate channel partners to service those areas and segments.
  • Identify new market segments and product innovation opportunities in established international markets to further sales growth with existing customers.
  • Review distributor performance and recommend and coordinate plans for corrective action in areas of distributor weakness.
  • Recommend to management, distributor changes including terminations, appointments, territory realignments, etc., on an ongoing basis.
  • Keep management informed of product performance issues and advise them concerning all regional product service matters including safety/liability issues.
  • Assist in the development of the company’s international marketing strategies, actions plans and product development & innovation initiatives.

Essential education, licenses, certifications, skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of international sales experience
  • Experience in a related industry, or with manufactured products strongly preferred
