SUMMARY: The Inventory Warehouse Analyst will assist with the overall integrity, completeness and accuracy of the STF inventory reporting and valuation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This list is not intended to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
  • Maintain and bill records for outside warehouses. Prepare and update inventories for outside storage and report on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Review production data files extracted from the Carlisle and the AS400 (downloads).
  • Work side by side with the FP&A and Operations teams to understand the Inventory/Production data movement within Carlisle and AS400.
  • Make required changes for particular processes (WON-WOFF splits, etc.).
  • Correct WIP and Finished Goods adjustment errors for proper processing.
  • Compile daily production data reconciliation
  • Clear aged inventory.
  • Clear production temporary stage locations and charge back accordingly.
  • Clear aged WIPs and Partials out of rotation and charge back accordingly.
  • Prepare reconciliations for all exempt product billings (Casings, CWG, Rendering, etc.)
  • Review/reconcile outsider storage/boxing facility charges with production reports.
  • Daily review sales postings-pricing for exempt products
  • Review the load exceptions report and address/clear as needed.
  • Maintain proper supporting documentation for record retention.
  • Maintain accounting worksheets and files on accounting shared drive.
  • Review and post cost accounting transactions and inventory transactions, including tracing the costs for financial reporting purposes.
  • Become cross-trained on other functions of the department.
  • Assist in the Financial Reporting cycle and month-end closing process by preparing accounting schedules, account reconciliation, journal entries, preparation of financial statements by entering data into trial balance worksheets.
  • Perform trade A/P vendor set-up and/or change master file for existing vendor when primary contact is unavailable.
  • Assist in performing other routine and non-routine accounting tasks and special projects and audits. Duties are subject to change.
  • Aid with applying principles and techniques of accounting to systematically process, verify, document, analyze and record financial data in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or Company policies.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in accounting is required. Must be a detail-oriented, effective performer, who can operate within strict timelines and adapt to a fast-paced, multi-task environment. Must be self-motivated and able to work with other team members and motivate direct reports.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS: Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management and employees. Must have the ability to influence and persuade others.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents in the English language such as safety files and procedure manuals. Must be able to effectively communicate with outside vendors, senior management, peers, customers and others within and outside of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply mathematical accounting concepts to practical situations. Must possess strong analytical and metric-based skills.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical, diagram, written and/or verbal form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: The employee needs to have experience with using personal computers and Microsoft Software (WORD, EXCEL and POWERPOINT). Experience with accounting systems is preferred. The ability to learn and effectively use any and all other computer programs that are or will be made available. The ability to be flexible in work duties and to expand knowledge of the work area. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of the plant production team. Must hold a valid driver’s license due to regular business travel.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear. Generally the incumbent must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; move about the facility; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
