The Opportunity:

Perkins Eastman has an exciting opportunity in our Los Angeles office for Junior Healthcare Planner with a passion for healthcare planning and design to be a part of a diverse team of Architects, Medical Planners, Interior Designers, and Project Managers. The Junior Healthcare Planner should have experience working on hospitals and ambulatory care centers and have skills to complete documentation necessary for the design and project delivery of Healthcare facilities consistent with the firm’s commitment to design and quality.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Reporting to the Associate Principal/Senior Healthcare Planner and Senior Healthcare Designer, the Junior Healthcare Planner will:
• Participate in Clinical User Group meetings and client presentations with Senior Medical Planner and the project team.
• Formulate planning concepts/ options, and prepare presentation-quality planning diagrams using Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or Photoshop.

• Under the guidance of Senior Healthcare Planner and Senior Healthcare Designer, develop building floor plate, departmental, and room layouts
• Use Revit/ Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to build models containing planning, design, and technical information.
• Complete Design Development and Construction Document Level documentation
• Coordinate Medical Equipment with consultants and vendors with the guidance of the Senior Medical Planner.
• Interest in learning about healthcare Industry best standards, California Building Code, FGI Guidelines and Life-Safety Requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Architecture
• Minimum of 1-3 years (preferably 3+ years) of Medical Planning experience on complex healthcare projects of any scale.
• Have a passion for medical planning and design
• Ability to create exceptional presentation quality graphics and planning diagrams - have an eye for graphics and presentation layouts.
• Proficient in Revit, Building Information Modeling (BIM), Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel
• Experienced in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop
• Interest in learning about current healthcare industry practices, trends, and innovation
• Willingness to travel
• Possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and willingness to use insured personal vehicle in the courses of employment

Type: Hybrid. 3 days in office 2 days working remotely, flexible days/working hours

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location.

Salary Range: $68,400 - $84,380
