Opening May of 2021, Kathy Kuo Home will launch its first physical flagship retail in the heart of Southampton, NYC opening its doors for unique curated home furnishings and in person Interior Design Services.

Do you have a passion for helping customers and ensuring they are provided with a remarkable and delightful service experience? Do you currently work in the Hospitality, Design, or Retail industry?

If so, we would love for you to join our Retail Design Team. This seat works within our store located in Southampton, New York from Memorial Day into Labor Day and potentially longer.

As the store may be a seasonal store, after the summer season if we choose to close the store, you will continue to support the online digital team.

The primary role is to assist in stockroom decisions, order follow up and ensure our design savvy customers and designers love every step of the purchasing, installation and ultimately enjoyment of their KKH product.

This role will have the unique opportunity to work closely with the Store Manager, Store Associate and Digital Sales team to help define the next phase of retail marketing, further strengthening the position of the brand as a destination of fine home furnishings.

  • Maintain all areas of the store under the direction of Store Manager
  • Responsible for the upkeep and organization of the stockroom.
  • Process all incoming and outgoing packages in a timely manner.
  • Process and assist with customer pick-up orders.
  • Organize store supplies, being aware of inventory levels.
  • Execute all activities associated with merchandise shipments.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of the stockroom
  • Inform the Store Manager of the receipt of any new items and any major overages or shortages of merchandise.
  • Excess fixture hardware maintained in neat and organized fashion
  • Assist the designer/visual merchant to support seasonal floor changes, as needed
  • Understanding the importance of Quality Customer Service.
  • Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

  • Stock, Distribution Center, or retail experience preferred
  • Good reading, written and verbal language skills (English)
  • Basic math and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to meet the physical requirements necessary to execute the position's responsibilities, including but not limited to:
  • Ability to utilize a 4-foot, 6-foot and 8-foot ladder.
  • Ability to handle cartons weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Required to stand for long periods of time during their shifts
