Part-Time hours vary based on show schedule and training.

$11/hour

Positions available in Erie County.

Join our Kids on the Block Puppeteers to work with a troupe that performs at local schools and other gatherings to educate and desensitize persons about those with disabilities.


Responsibilities of Kids on the Block Puppeteer:

  • To learn and be able to perform the part for assigned puppet.
  • To attend necessary training.
  • To have transportation to various sites throughout the county and to accept responsibilities as a part of the puppet troupe.
  • To present oneself at public appearances in a manner acceptable to the Family and Community Support Services.
  • To communicate with the Kids on the Block regarding concerns, changes in availability or other issues affecting performances.
  • To care for the assigned puppet between performances and to use the puppet only for Kids on the Block practice and only for performances assigned through the Family and Community Support Services.

Qualifications for Kids on the Block Puppeteer:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma/Equivalent
  • Ability to perform in front of a group and completion of necessary training
  • State Police Criminal Background and Child Abuse History clearances required.
  • FBI Clearance required
