The position

If so, Liquid Environmental Solutions is looking for a Lab Receiving Technician like you! As a Lab Receiving Technician, you will ensure that all liquids maintain safe properties and chemistry as they are cleaned in our liquid processing plant. You are conscientious, attentive to details, and are confident in your abilities to protect the health of the environment. Scope of accountability

• Performs sampling of liquids in the tankers as they arrive to operations plant for drop off
• Performs wet bench chemistry testing to analyze waste acceptance of samples and loads prior to disposal at facility
• Manages regulatory paperwork (manifests, bills of lading, logbooks, etc.) in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations for proper recordkeeping.
• Serves as a technical liaison between customers and other departments of the facility
• Develops expertise in understanding chemistry of liquids to become a subject matter expert in the field
• Coordinates with the laboratory manager on other projects as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Who you are

• 1+ year of experience working as a lab technician
• 3 hours of college chemistry (wastewater experience may be substituted)
• Willing and able to work outside and inside, despite weather conditions
• Able to climb on top of tanker trucks to pull samples for testing
• Basic knowledge of laboratory personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety
• Basic computer skills (data entry, Microsoft Office Suite)
• Professional appearance and demeanor
