Dow Development Laboratories is a contract topical drug research and development service provider, with facilities located in Petaluma, CA. We are currently seeking qualified individuals for an onsite Laboratory Assistant role.

The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for cleaning laboratory equipment and lab work areas plus restocking supplies as needed. Specific tasks include washing, drying and storing glassware and lab equipment, cleaning sink and lab benches, performing daily balance weight checks and pH meter standardizations plus lab supply restocking. This position maintains chemical inventory and related chemical material documents and supports with extra projects as needed.

This individual must be able to effectively communicate with the Supervisor and team members. They must be willing to learn and follow directions while working independently and as a part of the team. Successful candidates will have the ability to work with computers (including Microsoft Word and Excel), office equipment (including printers and scanners) and be organized.

Candidates may be required to move items weighing up to 50 pounds and must have sufficient manual dexterity to perform required tasks. The Laboratory Assistant is required to stand for long periods of time.

Candidates must have high school degree, or equivalent, and be comfortable working in a scientific laboratory environment, which includes donning Personal Protective Equipment. The Laboratory Assistant is required to keep accurate records with clear documentation. Preferred candidates will have laboratory or chemical manufacturing experience.

This is a full-time regular position offering a competitive salary and benefits package in a friendly work environment. Salary and grade level will be commensurate with experience and education level.
