The Business development Manager will maintain and cultivate current client base; develops new business contacts; monitors and increases capture rate;
participates in and plans Bemus trade shows; generates business from the Landscape Management and Tree Care
pipelines; transfers all job information from business development to operations; create effective marketing
materials; participates actively in trade and professional organizations; monitors and operates within annual sales
budget; performs job site inspections; tracks competitors’ pricing and stays abreast of their infrastructure; remains
aware of industry trends, pricing, and change; sets goals for new contacts made and gained; establish 1, 3, 5, and
10-year sales and position goals; develops and executes an annual sales plan that targets profitable business; tracks
all proposals, contacts, and leads in the Bemus CRM system; attends and makes presentations to client meetings;
understands DRE budgets and phasing; and provides excellent service (e.g., accurate, complete, and timely) to
clients, partners, and Bemus staff in a courteous and efficient manner.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a consultative, business-to-business sales environment; preferably within the commercial property management and/or homeowners association industry.”
  • Must be proficient in using a “CRM” sales database management tool
  • Possess and utilize good interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate in face-to-face interactions, as well as in written correspondence, with customers, employees, and your manager.
  • Bachelor's degree in the Agricultural Sciences or 30-semester units of Horticultural or Agriculture/Environmental Sciences related courses preferred.
  • Must possess a valid California drivers' license
