POSITION OVERVIEW
This position requires an individual motivated in organization, communications, and leadership. In addition, this position will require the capabilities to complete assigned tasks per bid, meet quality expectations, train crew members, and other duties as assigned by landscape and/or snow and ice management.
Employer will support Employee’s growth and education to help achieve career goals and to support Company mission. This is an at-will, non-exempt employee position under Minnesota Law. Non-exempt employees are eligible to receive overtime.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality

  • Provide leadership to Crew Members by demonstrating competent operation and performance of assigned service line and performance standards.
  • Manually plant trees or shrubs, grade, lay sod, construct small retaining walls, construct rock/mulch beds, establish new bed edges, and other landscaping tasks.
  • Prep soil for flower or groundcover installation and plant material properly taking into consideration depth, size, placement, and spacing.
  • Apply mulch in a manner that is appropriate to the material, plant, and location.
  • Implement lot and ramp sweeping and cleaning.
  • Perform pruning on trees and shrubs.
  • Water plant materials as directed.
  • Perform turf core aeration.
  • Conduct final walk through on all completed enhancement opportunities.
  • Inspect quality of materials upon delivery to jobsite.
  • Ensure that work is completed on time and to work ticket specification.

Production Management

  • Interface with customers and/or Account Managers as required with onsite operation and/or production requests as well as address any performance standard concerns directly brought to their attention.
  • Identify ways to improve quality and efficiency and discuss with Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager.
  • Be flexible in daily/weekly schedule to meet customer expectations.
  • Arrive 15 minutes prior to crew start time to prepare for the day.
  • Provide jobsite notes and information upon completion of enhancement opportunities.
  • Contribute to tailgate talks with specific observation and concerns regarding production and properties.

Staff Management

  • Assist the Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager in the ongoing training and development of each team member assigned to their crew.
  • Log crew members in and out of Aspire daily.
  • Provide the Production Manager feedback on crew member performance.
  • Monitor crew safety and provide in-field correction as appropriate.

Operational Policies and Procedures

  • Complete work in Aspire according to assigned work tickets, creating any issues if needed.
  • Provide photographic documentation or completed work in Aspire.
  • Perform Enhancements QAs in Sitefotos.

Safety

  • Assist with the organization, cleaning, and basic upkeep at all facilities as well as assigned crew equipment, trucks, and trailers.
  • Report safety concerns and violations to Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager.
  • Operate, in a safe and efficient manner, all pruning tools, hand saws, edgers, chainsaws, power and steam washers, and other assorted landscape enhancements equipment as assigned.
  • Complete and maintain all assigned Greenius safety trainings.
  • Wear clothing and safety equipment appropriate for the job performed.
  • Perform preventative equipment checks prior to operating.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and equipment and ensure required materials, including first aid kits, are stocked and stored appropriately.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Current driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean driving record with DOT Certification.
  • Demonstrates leadership abilities and efficient communication skills with respect to client and employee concerns.
  • Demonstrates basic horticultural and service line knowledge.
  • Completes assigned work in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ability to answer/return phone calls and/or e-mails within 1 business day.
  • Works well with co-workers.
  • Demonstrates independent action and resourcefulness on the job. Performs duties in an acceptable manner and with minimal supervision.
  • Consistently reports to work on time.
  • Ability to perform manual labor, including repeated physical bending, kneeling, squatting, and lifting up to 50 lbs. independently and 80 lbs. with assistance.
  • Willing to obtain Category A & E Pesticide Applicator License within one year.
  • Adheres to Company expectations regarding conduct and appearance as specified in the Employee Handbook.
