Institutional Chief of Mental Health - State of Missouri Department of Corrections

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

The Institutional Chief of Mental Health provides leadership and clinical direction to mental health programs at the assigned site. Responsible for overall administration of the performance, stability, and growth of the site-specific mental health program. Coordinates mental health services with multidisciplinary team to ensure high quality behavioral/mental health services within a mental health residential social rehabilitative unit in a correctional setting

• Bonne Terre, MO
• Bowling Green, MO
• Vandalia, MO

Type: Full - Time Permanent Employment

Shift: Day 8 hour - Monday-Friday, 8:00A-4:30P - 40 hours per week

START DATE: 3-4 weeks due to clearance and on boarding for the DOC

LOCAL PAY:

• LCSW - $49.95 – $57.72 per hour
• Sign On Bonus

You display strong therapeutic boundaries and clinical skills, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and are passionate about improving the well-being of a vulnerable population.

Education:

• Masters level degree or higher in behavioral/social science or related field from an accredited educational institution required

Experience:

• Two years' experience with direct care for individuals with mental illness preferred
• 3-5 years of mental health supervisory experience
• Experience that indicates knowledge of mental health counseling, group and individual psychotherapy, diagnosing and treatment of mental disorders, psychological assessment techniques, crisis intervention, and mental health consultation

Licenses/Certifications:

• Active mental health professional license Missouri: LCSW
• Current CPR Certification

Requirements:

• Must show current tuberculosis documentation
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
