Position Available: Lead Preschool Teacher to work Monday-Friday; We are open year-round and this person will work in their own classroom as a Lead Teacher.

Requirements: We are a preschool in downtown Napa. Applicants must be comfortable singing preschool Christian songs and planning activities for the children during their school day. Must be able and willing to assist with diapering and toilet learning and able to assist children up and down the stairs when needed. Additional state licensing requirements below.

General Responsibilities:

· Plan, prepare, implement and clean-up activities and projects

· Help maintain classroom, materials, and outdoor play area

· Ability to attend once a month evening staff meeting

· Capable of managing a group of preschoolers

· Must be willing to work as a team with all co-workers.

Applicants must meet the following state requirements:

· Experience as a preschool teacher in a childcare setting or comparable group childcare program.

· Prefer 12 units of college Child Development classes, but we would consider someone with only six units (or currently enrolled) but they must include Child Development and Child Family and Community. If selected to interview, you will need to bring a transcript (unofficial is okay) to verify completion of units. You are welcome to apply if you are currently taking Child Development classes but we will need to see your transcript thus far.

· Ability to pass a physical exam that includes a TB test. Proof of vaccination or Immunity for Measles and Pertussis. No other vaccines required.

· Ability to obtain criminal record clearance.

· Must be familiar with the requirements for providing the type of care and supervision needed by children, including the ability to visually supervise the children at all times & never leave any child unattended.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
