Level II NDT Inspector Job at National Oilwell Varco
NOV is actively hiring Level II NDT inspectors for our Alaska location. Travel to from Anchorage to Prudhoe Bay is paid for by the company. Must provide your own travel to Anchorage Airport. Room and food costs are covered while on rotation. Rotation work is 14 days on, 14 days off unless additional time is required due to workload.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Required to become familiar with industry standards, Customer procedures, and Tuboscope requirements.
- Is required to become certified or qualified in area of inspection being performed.
- May be required to help prepare draft field inspection reports.May be required to perform multiple job functions as needed.
- Operate a variety of hand tools, plant equipment, and inspection and testing equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Have a commitment to quality and comply with NOV HSE policies.
- Report directly to the Shop Foreman or designated company representative.
Requirements
- High School education or equivalent.
- Ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Good visual acuity and color perception, and can pass a Tuboscope near/color vision exam annually.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to comply with the NOV US Drug and Alcohol Policy.
- An ability to meet deadlines and schedules.
- Willingness to work 12 or more hours/day on a two or three-week rotation schedule on the North Slope, as required by the company.
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must have an ability to learn to operate company equipment and applicable measuring & testing equipment.
- Must have an ability to become certified in multiple inspection procedures.
- Participate in the Tuboscope Green Dragon Safety Program.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
