Catawba Hospital located in Catawba, Virginia is a JCAHO accredited inpatient psychiatric facility with 110 beds that provides comprehensive mental-health services including assessment, treatment, and discharge planning. Located in a beautiful rural setting, only 20 minutes from downtown Roanoke or Salem. Extensive orientation and training provided that will ensure your success as a new member on our Nursing Team.

Provides quality nursing care to psychiatric adult and geriatric patients based on population specific standards of nursing practice and within scope of license. Provides supervision of ancillary staff on assigned unit under the supervision of RN.

Clinical knowledge of principles and practices of practical nursing, medication administration, psychiatric disorders and developmental processes. Ability to implement planned nursing care and provides guidance to other staff.

Licensed Practical Nursing license or eligible for license in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Stable work history required. Psychiatric, Mental Health, or Nursing Home experience preferred.
