The Surf RV Resort, located in Palmetto, FL, is looking for a Cook. This position is responsible for all aspects of food production at the resort.

Essential Job Duties

• Deliveries prompt, friendly service to resort guests.
• Maintains compliance with health, safety, food handling and hygiene codes and standards.
• Ensures freshness of food by rotating stock, checking dates, and storing per standards.
• Prepares meal ingredients by washing, peeling, trimming, cutting, and portioning, etc.
• Cooks menu items following recipes and guest preferences. Ensures that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and timely.
• Works with and directs food service staff on required tasks to prep food, restock area, clean kitchen and serving areas.
• Works with the General Manager on daily menus. Works with the General Manager and Guest Services staff to plan meals for resort events.

Requirements

• ServSafe Certification
• ​P​revious cooking experience preferred, including experience as a Line or​ Prep Cook​ E​xcellent understanding of various​ cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing​ ​assigned task
• Excellent customer service skills
• Flexible and long hours are sometimes required.
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs
• Ability to stand during the entire​ ​shift.
• Ability to work fast & well​ under pressure
• Requires manual dexterity to cut, chop foods and ​to ​preform related tasks
