Duties and Responsibilities:
The Logistics Driver is responsible for the delivery and transportation of various goods within customer sites and other operational locations.
Hourly Pay Rate
- $23.25
- Monday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Tuesday: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- Wednesday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Thursday: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM
- Friday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Monday- Friday: 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM
- Potential OT as needed
- Drive local distances to deliver goods
- Load and unload cargo and record cargo deliveries
- Refuel and clean vehicle
- Report road incidents to the dispatcher
- Follow traffic laws
- Inspect trucks and record issues, reporting mechanic problems to maintenance personnel
- Follow accident procedures
- Keep an activities log and log hours
- Plan routes using GPS system and get goods to client on time
- Maintain a positive attitude with customers
- Keep commercial driver license up to date
- Able to drive vehicles with automatic and manual transmissions
- Able to sit and drive for up to 10 hours per shift (when needed) with regular breaks
- Able to drive safely in daylight, darkness, and in poor weather and road conditions
- Able to work independently and or in small groups and for periods without direct supervision
- Able to write legibly all comments needed on documents
- Maintain security and safety of assigned test vehicles. Lock all vehicles when not occupied
- Follow highly frequent routes to customer sites and workshop locations
- Complete assigned test procedures, and duty cycles and furnish complete reports, including complete comments of findings
- Work cooperatively with engineering staff and its customers on vehicle and system issues when requested
- Able to follow ALL rules, policies and procedures pertaining to test vehicles. (No eating, drinking (except for bottled water) or smoking in vehicles, and no use of cell phones or texting while driving a vehicle
- Follow ALL rules and procedures pertaining to high security vehicles
- Arrive to work on time
- Be able to write clear and concise comments about what you experience and explain your perception of vehicle performance, function and comfort
- Job may require employee to move heavy objects and be exposed to hazardous work environments
- Must have Class C Driver's license
- Pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- Must have clean driving record
- Must provide current MVR
- Work assigned schedule which may include multiple shifts, weekends and holidays; overtime when required
- Minimum 3 years of professional driving experience
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills; computer skills (SAP, MS Office, MRS Systems).
- Team oriented, flexible and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Must have high school diploma
- Enthusiasm for operating next level mobility technology integrated in luxury vehicles
- Strong attention to details for functionality of product quality and software applications
- Strong Interpersonal Skills, Ability to communicate both verbal and written
- Ability to pass criminal background check, DMV history report, and pre-employment drug screening
- A minimum of 3-years driving experience needed
- Able to lift 50-100 pounds
- Forklift experience preferred (training is provided)
