LPN - Family Medical Center Job at Whitecap Search
WCS Healthcare has multiple opening in Westchester, Putnam and Ulster County for LPNs in a Family Clinic. These positions are full time and require a few weekends per month. They offer top pay as well as a sign on bonus!
Job Function:
- Performs and accurately records screening tests to patients of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups
- Participates in patient counseling and education activities related to primary health care, HIV/STD prevention and treatment, child/adult health maintenance, and family planning
- Documents necessary information in patient’s electronic medical record
- Prepare and maintain documentation in compliance with JCAHO standards and applicable city, state and federal laws
- Administers medications and treatments as authorized by the provider
- Performs phlebotomy and simple laboratory procedures including but not limited to rapid strep test, urinalysis, pregnancy and tuberculosis screening
- Assist health team in follow-up of missed appointments and non-complaint patients by telephone and mail
Job Requirements:
- Graduation from an approved school of practical nursing
- Associates Degree in Nursing preferred
- Current Practical Nurse License in NYS
- 2+ years previous experience in nursing is preferred
- Bilingual (Spanish) Preferred
- Current CPR Certification
- Phlebotomy/blood draw experience
