THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an excellent opportunity for a responsible individual with a strong background in maintenance. The company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for its plant located in Hempstead, NY. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and repairing equipment. Training is provided to all candidates.

Compensation commensurate on experience. Starting salary is $62,000.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

· Troubleshoot and properly repair equipment

· Grease and repair equipment

· Operate hand tools, welder, torch and electrical test meters

· Operate power tools

· Work on electrical situations

· Occasionally install and maintain plumbing

· Involvement with carpentry and masonry work

· Report any and all accidents while on the job immediately to your supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

• High School diploma preferred
• Ability to read, write, do math and follow instructions.
• Maintenance experience, preferably with Milnor, Weishi, Chicago, Kemco, and E-tech Machines
• Three (3) years basic maintenance skills
• Must be able to comprehend In-Service training for OSHA’s Standard on Bloodborne Pathogens
