Description

The Maintenance technician Level C is capable to carry out all duties and responsibilities regarding the performance of general utility work and maintenance routines while expanding skills within the Maintenance department in support of production activities. The position requires the employee to maintain quality and safety standards, ability to perform reliable work with attention to details, and demonstrate superior cleanliness and organization.

What does a Maintenance Technician do?

  • Practice safety standards as identified by the Company Handbook, orientation, and verbal instruction from supervisory staff. This includes safety glasses, proper shoes, lifting techniques, and safe chip handling.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area.
  • Operate and organize the scrap metal handling equipment and areas
  • Perform all routine work to support the production floor, including bar end removal, cutting oil and coolant maintenance, dispensing of lube oil, maintaining cleaning supplies (cleaners, rags etc.)
  • Perform the routine maintenance work regarding the periodic cleaning of machine sumps according to the specified schedule
  • Obtain the fork lift operator license
  • Ability to perform material handling tasks as needed
  • Proficient with all tools and equipment necessary to perform the assigned tasks
  • The maintenance technician supervisor responsibilities are to prioritize the work load, assist with problem solving, and to provide the necessary tools and supplies to perform the assigned tasks.

Compensation: $18.00

  • Shift:1st - 6:00am – 2:30pm

Basic Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must have graduated high school or a GED
  • Must be able to add, subtract and divide simple math
  • Must know how to read decimals up to four places (.0000)
  • Employee will have a mentor for the first 45 days of their employment
  • Must be able to speak and read English
  • Must wear nonslip safety shoes

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour
