Accountabilities / Responsibilities:
SCA Health has transformed itself into a leader in ambulatory surgical centers, surgical hospitals, and hospital system partnerships. With Service Excellence as one of our core values, we are transforming the current Information Technology department to better position SCA Health as the industry leader in surgical care. Our IT team is focused on providing our partnerships and management teams with timely, quality technology support that is reliable and helpful.

We are seeking a Manager, Data Development (Production Support) to join our team of highly skilled data professionals to revolutionize the way technology is used within surgery centers across the country.

This position is primarily responsible for:

  • Managing a team supporting data solutions and processes with a focus on quality, performance, scalability, and resilience.
  • Hiring, monitoring, evaluating, and mentoring team members with a focus on their personal development.
  • Continuously evaluating workload and capacity and providing timely information concerning team throughput and resource needs.
  • Leading incident management with service excellence including communications, investigation, and resolution.
  • Developing and cultivating stakeholder relationships to understand business needs and drive prioritization.
  • Planning and executing a solutions and operations documentation strategy that ensures complete, accurate, and timely information.
  • Planning and executing a solution performance and optimization review that drives continuous improvement.
  • Suggesting, structuring, and leading operational process improvement initiatives to completion.
  • Guiding the design and delivery of metric-based reporting highlighting production support activities including throughput, operational trends, and baseline improvements.
  • Ensuring adherence to and participating in team workflows including code reviews, change management, and release management.
  • Ensuring team compliance with all policies and regulations with timely adjustments for new or modified mandates.
  • Actively participating in production support activities as required to support business operations.
  • Having a passion to learn, grow, teach, and coach others both technically and professionally.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, or other technology related field.
  • 10+ years of data development and documentation experience with a focus on quality, performance, scalability, and resilience using Microsoft SQL Server (T-SQL, SSIS, and SSRS), with recent leadership experience using 2017 or higher.
  • 5+ years managing data-focused teams with proven record of success.
  • 3+ years of experience with parallel data ingestion from a wide variety (10+) and number (100+) of data sources.
  • 2+ years of experience transforming and integrating large disparate data systems (50+ objects; 500GB+) into a canonical model.
  • 2+ years of experience delivering reporting and analytics using SSRS, Tableau, or Microsoft PowerBI Report Server.
  • 2+ years of experience using TFS, Azure DevOps, or Redgate tools for data solution management and delivery.
  • 1+ year of experience using ServiceNow for incident, change, and release management.
Skills Required:
  • Microsoft Data or Azure related certifications
  • Experience with Azure technologies including SQL Server Managed Database, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Kafka, Event Hub, Power Automate, or Machine Learning.
  • Experience using the CozyRoc SISS+, NoW, or CozyRoc Cloud.
  • Experience using web-APIs as a data ingestion source, in particular knowledge of ServiceNow, UKG, or Kronos.
  • Experience with medical systems, data constructs, and accounting practices.
  • Able to work with teammates, customers, and partners to design robust and efficient solutions.
  • Able to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Able to work with project managers to accurately evaluate and scope work.
  • Able to work in a team environment and constructively support and teach others.
  • Able to clearly explain technical issues in a way that nontechnical people can understand.
  • Proactive, decisive, action-oriented individual with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, leadership, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills.
  • Able to be broadly focused and manage multiple efforts concurrently.
  • Able to work effectively with all levels of the organization, including staff, business stakeholders, and all levels of management.
