About Job

The Planning Engineering organization is a primary supporting function of Foxconn Ohio production departments. The organization’s primary duties are to plan and execute modifications to production system including introduction of new process equipment, modification of existing building and infrastructure, and installing new manufacturing infrastructure on Foxconn Ohio campus.

This role provides exciting opportunity for the candidate to be part of the Foxconn’s EV journey and grow with it.

Job Responsibilities

• Compare, examine, and comprehend customer EV products and processes and how to merge manufacturing system with existing building and infrastructure
• Create/modify the existing Foxconn manufacturing system to achieve EV Contract Manufacturing goals and objectives
• Incorporate Voice of the Customer into inputs and outputs of our Foxconn Ohio manufacturing system
• Create sustainable lean manufacturing system using industry-accepted best practices and established automotive manufacturing concepts while maintaining the maneuverability, innovative mindset, and awareness of finite resources (Start-Up Mentality)
• Support Industrial Standardization group to define industry-proven best practices in manufacturing system and supporting equipment installation, integration, and large-scale project management
• Provide technical support to maintenance, production, and engineering departments
• Implement data driven decisions to optimize quality cost and efficiency
• Provide strong working knowledge of civil engineering, construction engineering, and project management principles
• Incorporate product and process changes with internal customers (manufacturing department)

Education and Ideal Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project management or construction engineering is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in Engineering or similar degree from an accredited college of university is required or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in CAD software (Solidworks, Catia, etc.) is recommended.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/technical requirements/specifications.
• Strong communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, etc.)

Preferences and Qualifications

• The successful candidate for this position must have a broad technical background with the ability to work with engineering, manufacturing, and customers across a wide variety of issues.
• Must be self-directed with exceptional time management, prioritization, and organizational skills; Strong project management skills to keep team and actions on track to completion.
• Proven experience working with new equipment installation and existing manufacturing system modification.
• Demonstrate hands-on approach, analytical abilities, and attention to detail.
• Motivated to learn and develop incredible on-the-job experience.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• The factory has both office area and shop floor area. The noise level in the office area is generally quiet. Wearing of personal protective equipment’s (PPE) when visiting the shop floor is required.
• This job will require significant time spend on your feet in the plant floor environment
