Company Intro: Ocean Health Initiatives, Inc. (OHI) is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing quality, accessible and comprehensive primary health care to the residents of Ocean and Monmouth County; regardless of economic status.

Our Health Center Locations: Brick, Freehold, Lakewood, Little Egg Harbor, Manahawkin, Manchester and Toms River; with our school-based Wellness Programs located within the Clifton Ave Grade School, Lakewood; and Lakewood High School.

OHI services include family and internal medicine, pediatrics, behavioral health, nutrition, OB/GYN women’s health, dental, family planning, specialty care, pharmacies, PrEP, and a STI clinic.

Part-time 24 hours/week (subject to seasonal changes and business/site needs):

Two 8/hr days/week in the office and one 8/hr day Saturday or Sunday OR Three 8/hr days Monday through Friday

Position Summary:

Reporting to the DOM, the Marketing Development Associate primary responsibility is to work as part of a larger marketing team to offer administrative support and fill in on essential tasks.. This includes, but is not limited to: print material, website content updates and OHI newsroom articles, consistent social media posts, mass message e-mail blasts, monthly newsletters and quarterly publications. This position is designed for the expansion of OHI’s creative marketing and advertising, while adhering to the organizational vision of the CEO and Board of Directors.

Responsibilities:

  • The advancement of content for internal and external marketing department campaigns, while working in partnership with OHI’s management team on individual projects as needed.
  • Weekly updates related to OHI’s online presence and social media; including: relevant trending topics, events, advocacy, etc. Using this information, the (title) will prepare content to be approved for social media pages, topics for OHI’s newsroom articles and strategies for press releases.
  • Participation with OHI held events, such as the Annual Fundraiser, National Health Center Week, seasonal events and trade shows as a promotion professional, arranging event materials, contacting participating organizations, assembling event sponsorships, etc.
  • Tracking project tickets through the Marketing Request portal on Monday.com. Organizing projects on priority and requested timeframe of completion.
  • Maintaining an inventory of marketing materials making sure all resources are accurate and current while coordinating new material creation as needed.
  • Regularly updating marketing distribution databases, including: press contacts, media outlets and mass email recipients; creating new databases as needed.
  • Monitoring distributed print and promotional material totals through tracking documents.
  • Produce and monitor site signage, monitor site brochure displays, monitor and change site signage to promote new services and reflect seasonality of healthcare signage.
  • Assists Marketing team with monitoring backend of OHI web-based job boards and forwards necessary data to Human Resources department. IE: Indeed, Glassdoor, LinkedIn, ohinj.org/careers submissions.
  • Formats marketing request document attachments and researches accompanying imagery for each project.
  • Submits a monthly report detailing content developed or posted, and any analytic web data assigned by the Executive Assistant to the CEO.
  • Create and prepare presentations to pitch new marketing campaigns.
  • Completes check requests in a timely manner for all Marketing vendors for CEO approval. Scans and emails approved requests to the Executive Assistant to the CEO; submits to accounts payable.
  • Organizes Project Proposal Requests for the Marketing department to submit to CEO for approval.
  • Maintains organizational packet supply and updates information as required.
  • Is highly accountable for one's own productivity. In order to maintain transparency, all projects must be represented clearly on a project board in Monday.com. Responsible for ensuring the board is always updated and accurate and that information is accessible to those that need it.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Licensure:

  • Bachelor degree in English, Marketing, Advertising, Communications or related field is required.
  • One to two years of experience in Marketing is required.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong social media experience and exposure.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 is required.
  • Adobe Cloud is preferred.
