HiFyve has a client in Mt. Vernon, MO that is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer.
Day Shift $75k-80k Yearly
Job Description
The individual in this position will be working on stainless steel tanks. They will play a role in analyzing the design, functionality, and quality of these products. This position will help to create and update equipment that will make production faster and more efficient. They will create, draft, and design product layouts and schemes using customer specifications and recommendations. This individual will test products and make adjustments where necessary. Additionally, they will examine broken products and resolve issues for future designs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct product testing
- Assess the feasibility of product design
- Review defunct products
- Design, justify, implement, and manage capital projects
- Calculations for the pressure vessels
- Equipment design & fabrication
- SolidWorks
- Stress Analysis
- Upgrade designs of equipment to make them faster, more efficient, better, etc.
- Process upgrades
- 3D Modeling
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- 4+ years' of industry experience
- Strong knowledge of mechanical parts and computer-aided design
