The Medical Assistant supporting Mercy's Centers of Excellence is responsible for obtaining patient charts and encounter forms for all visits, accurately collecting and documenting basic patient assessments, assisting providers with exams and procedures and room stocking.
This position is expected to travel to all of our hub site locations as well as our downtown hospital, and to a variety of our speciality practices, known as our "Centers of Excellence."
Experienced Medical Assistants preferred (c ompletion of a Medical Assistant program)

Qualifications:
  • Education and Work Experience: High School Diploma or GED A minimum of one year experience is preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT-Paramedic
  • License Requirements: N/A
  • Certification Requirements: CPR & MA certification preferred
  • Age Specific Care Provided For: Adolescents Adults Geriatrics
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following:
    • Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel
    • Microsoft Outlook
    • Meditech (if applicable to position)
    • Epic (if applicable to position)
    • Performance Manager/NetLearning
  • Other Requirements:
    • Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
    • Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
    • Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
    • Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
    • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
    • May be required to travel to satellite offices.
