Job Description:
Optim Orthopedics is seeking a full time Medical Assistant/Front Desk Representative Floater for our Statesboro & Vidalia locations.
Job Requirements:
- Responsible for floating between our Vidalia and Statesboro office; performing Front Office duties as well as assisting in the Medical Assistant role as needed.
- Checks in patients and collects payment; managing collection log and balancing cash drawer daily Verifies patient demographic and insurance information; makes appropriate changes in EMR system as needed.
- Checks out and schedules return appointments as noted by clinical team.
- Reviews providers schedules in advance and ensuring charts are prepped accurately for the patients visit; including but not limited to inputting imaging orders and reviewing required documents related to visit are visible and available in the chart.
- Accurately reviews and inputs all patient information in the EMR system; including medication reconciliation, allergies, MIPS Quality data.
- Follows up on referrals or orders to ensure patient has conformed.
- Assist provider during clinic with drawing injections, casting, dressing changes, suture removal, and other necessary task.
