Blue Sky Medical Billing is looking for a Full-time entry-level to mid-level customer service representative in our Bryson City billing office location, resolving customer billing inquiries and account issues, adjusting services as requested, and upholding positive customer relationships. The representative must be detail oriented and accurate with the work they complete while being a good multitasker and problem solver. Primary Job Duties:

Answer high volume, inbound phone calls from patients, utilizing a cloud-based phone system.

Educate our patients on patient financial responsibility surrounding deductibles, copays, and coinsurance.

Confidently inform and collect patient balances using client applicable financial policy guidelines.

Research, identify and resolve patient billing queries using eClinicalWorks software.

Document all correspondence and details of comments, inquiries, and complaints in the notes is required.

Perform other duties and projects that may be assigned such as audits and/or accounts receivables.

Successfully meet all call center productivity and quality standards.

  • In this role, the coordinator will research incoming patient calls using our database to reconcile, resolve, and ensure clear communication for all billing and payment related inquiries.
  • Profile: A flexible communicator and good listener who can multitask to solve problems. Billing Representatives use patience and effective communication skills to uncover customer needs, answer questions, and leave a positive impression on every customer interaction.

The ideal candidate possesses excellent customer service skills and has at least 1 year of healthcare billing or front desk experience. Prior experience in a busy medical practice is highly favored but not necessary. We are willing to train the right individual. Must have the ability to multi-task and have a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Assists patients over the telephone with questions regarding their account and identifies and resolves patient billing issues.
  • Responds to inquiries from patients, attorneys and patient portal.
  • Processes and posts payments taken over the phone and through patient portal.
  • Follows all our processes and complies with HIPAA regulations.
  • Updates pertinent patient information in the system.
  • Works as part of a team to complete departmental responsibilities.
  • Applies our values in decision-making and interactions with all individuals.
  • Promotes a positive work environment through effective teamwork

Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm in our Bryson City Office

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour, based on experience with potential pay increase at 90 day review

This is not a work from home position.
