Our Skilled Nursing Facility is looking for a talented and hard-working Full Time Occupational Therapist to join our ever-growing team. Excellent Salary and Benefits package offered.
Job Summary:
Provides resident evaluations and treatments to help residents with physical, developmental or emotional disabilities improve their ability to perform activities of daily living (ADLs) needed for their environment. Assists residents in improving basic motor skills, reasoning abilities, compensatory techniques for functional loss, adaptive equipment training and environmental adjustments to achieve optimum independence and improve a resident’s quality of life. Provides assessment, care planning, education, and consultations for general occupational therapy services. Provides teaching and training to caregiver staff for carry0over of maintenance programs on the unit. Supervises other registered therapists, assistants, technicians, aides and student interns as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree or Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy.
Two years clinical experience preferred.
Current NYS Licensure. Occupational Therapists with temporary license and pending examination schedule are eligible if required Occupational Therapist supervision can be accommodated.
