Online Teacher (Contract Position) Job at Essentials in Writing
Essentials in Writing (EIW) is a leading writing curriculum/educational services company in the homeschool and charter school markets and is quickly expanding into the public sector. Due to rapid growth and expansion into new markets, Essentials in Writing is seeking a qualified Teacher(s) to conduct the online classes we offer at Essentials in Writing as a 1099 independent contractor.
Responsibilities
- Working with EIW's education department
- Teaching assigned class or classes 2 times a week from a remote location
- Grading student-submitted work
- Communicating with parents when needed
- Responding to student questions via email or phone call
What we’re looking for (qualifications)
- Teaching certification (prefer middle school to high school)
- Bachelor’s in education or English
- Online teaching experience (preferred not required)
- Demonstrated ability to help students achieve success
- Average technology skills
- Ability to stay organized
- Desire to see students succeed
- Strong work ethic
- Detail oriented
- Superior communication skills
