Staffing Inc. is partnered with a great company in South Haven, MI who is looking for Operation Supervisor on 2ndshift. The supervisor will be responsible for directly supervising employees in a specific department or specific shift while fulfilling the regular duties of the assigned shift/department. They are responsible for ensuring everything runs smoothly during their shift; communication and problem solving with other leaders, and more.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• Supervise team performance and productivity, supporting individual training and development.
• Work in assigned areas to support the needs of the shift and/or the department to ensure quality production and on-time order fulfillment.
• Organize production workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
• Encourage teamwork and communication among all US Tarp operations.
• Train, oversee and coach employees, helping to resolve work-related problems.
• Maintain a safe working environment by training and monitoring employees’ use of equipment.
• Review work throughout the work process and at completion to ensure that it has been performed properly.
• Submit reports on performance and progress for production, safety, and employee performance.
• Identify and communicate production and inventory challenges; working with other leaders to resolve issues.
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
• Operate a forklift, as needed.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• Proven experience as a production supervisor, lead or similar role.
• Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft.
• Ability to motivate and guide others to ensure performance in accordance with clear expectations and goals.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to perform simple arithmetic and pay attention to details.
• Ability to lead and support quality, safety, and policy standards.
• Ability to recognize courses of action that can be taken to handle problems or potential problems and report information to appropriate channels.
• Ability to detect problems and report information to appropriate channels.
• Lift 50lbs
• Bilingual is a plus
