OPSN - Agricultural Assistant Job at University of Florida
Assist with management of large and small plot research and demonstration field and greenhouse crop trials at University of Florida IFAS research farm at Live Oak and on cooperating farms in Suwannee Valley region.
Assist with soil, tissue, water, and pest diagnostic sampling for row crops and vegetables, grown in the fields and in greenhouse hydroponics.
Help collect, organize, and enter data into online platforms and spreadsheets for various projects.
Communicate with other staff, row crop, and vegetable producers as needed to prepare and conduct on-farm activities.
Help coordinate, set-up, and implement Extension field days and other programs for farmers and other audiences.
Assist with other duties as assigned to support the overall mission of NFREC-SV.
$16.00 per hour
Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver's license.
