Job Summary and Qualifications

To provide safe and effective nursing care as the O. R. Scrub Technician, Level I/Obstetrics during surgical and other invasive procedures through the performance of specific duties under the direction of a registered nurse. Performs routine scrub as well as specifically-delegated duties according to AORN standards, and policies and procedures of the department of surgery. Assists in the maintenance of a safe environment for all. Keeps current with operating room techniques, procedures, instruments, supplies and equipment; assists with Continuing Quality Improvement.

What qualifications you will need:

• 
  Vocational School Graduate
• One or more years experience as an OR Scrub Technician, Level I/Obstetrics preferred.
• Membership in CST association preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers issued by the American Heart Association and Surgical Technologist certification required
