Summary

As UA's Paralegal / Contracts Manager, you will assist in contract review: revise, draft, and negotiate contracts, and advise Senior Management and other Company personnel of implications of contract requirements and proposed revisions and administration. You will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining the contract management system. You will triage issues of the Legal Department to ascertain the status and content of the request and escalate it within the Legal Department or Senior Management as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Under supervision from Attorney, review and revise business operations contracts, create amendments, yearly updates for pricing, license agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and other documents and agreements for review, approval, and use throughout the Company.
  • Advise Senior Management and other personnel on contracts requirements and mitigate risk to the company through negotiations.
  • Negotiate and resolve contract disputes.
  • Review Supplier contracts for Company’s Procurement department, assist in issues with suppliers/customers.
  • Help establish and maintain the contracts tracking system and databases.
  • Prepare contract summaries and advise Senior Management of potential contractual issues and departments of contractual responsibilities.
  • Work with department teams to analyze issues within the contractual documents to ensure commitments are met.

Education/Experience

  • Associate degree in Paralegal Studies or bachelor’s degree from a four-year college.
  • Four-7 years of legal experience including contracts or business-related legal work with a focus on contracts review and interpretation.
  • Relevant contracts experience (4+ years) in a corporate setting, preferably aviation related, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
