Part-Time Academic Assistant Job at St. Mary's Ryken High School
St. Mary's Ryken is seeking applications for a part-time Academic Assistant.
The person in this position responds to all people in accordance with the philosophies of the Xaverian Brothers Sponsored
Schools and St. Mary’s Ryken. This position directly reports to the Principal and Dean of Academics. This position is an integral part of the Dean of Academics office that holds responsibility for the matriculation of SMR students. This position works very closely with the Dean of Academics and the School Registrar to provide and manage accurate data related to the students and their progress towards obtaining a degree from SMR. The Academic Assistant must have the ability to work within provided guidelines as well as independently, and the ability to conduct themselves in a professional manner while adhering to the confidentiality necessary in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Typical day-to-day administrative duties including answering phones, data entry, scheduling, and preparing correspondence
- Data management using MS Excel and Veracross/Axiom Learning Management Systems
- Preparation of reports that involve research, compilation of data and analysis from various sources
- Supervision of common spaces (cafeteria, outdoors, etc.) on an as needed basis
- Standardized testing coordination and assistance, specifically for PSAT and Advanced Placement testing; proctoring as needed
- Other duties as assigned to support the academic program of SMR
Requirements:
- Experience in an educational setting is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Two (2) years of office or related experience
